School's Out for Summer!

I just wanted to wish you all a very happy summer holidays.  You have worked incredibly hard this year and I am very proud of you all.

Thank you also for your very generous end of term gifts.  Miss Fenny and I are both very grateful for your kindness.

Have a great break and don't forget to add your photos from our summer challenge to your folder on Google Drive - we can't wait to see what you have been up to!

Welcome

We have extended a warm welcome to Amelia over the last few weeks who joined Upper Prep 1.

We hope that Amelia soon settles in and continues to receive a warm THS welcome by everyone in our school community.

Rhubarb

Today the children in Upper Prep 1 have enjoyed looking at this giant piece of rhubarb, grown by our very own Mr Westwood.

Mr Westwood has been a great source of knowledge and inspiration during our IPC topic, Roots, Shoots and Fruits and it was fantastic to see something that he has been growing too.

We hope that our plants grow as big!

Inclusion Week

This week, as part of inclusion week, the children have been thinking about what the word inclusion actually means.

This video, put together by Miss Fenny, shares the children's thoughts.

I'm sure you will agree, they have done a fabulous job and have really understood the idea of inclusion and what it looks like day to day.

What a Wonderful World!

The Prep School Children have been learning some sign language this week, having thought about deafness and the challenges deaf people face.

Here is a short video to show how well they have done.

We hope you enjoy it.

Chicks

The children in Upper Prep 1 have enjoyed visiting our resident chicks this morning and giving them food and cuddles!
